Bath

Last night the Star Inn was filled with people for quiz night. We did not enter the contest, and are happy we didn't, as we would have surely gotten the booby prize. The categories were, finishing proverbs, the Fauklands War, and naming the group singing a song. The songs were mostly obscure British pop tunes, and the Falklands, who would know? We got some proverbs and the best quip of the evening by the MC was the intro, "This is for David Cameron," to the proverb "A monkey dressed in silk ... ."

We are off the trail for a while and took the train to Bath today. The trains are very easy to use and cheap with a senior pass. We arrived in Bath early enough to take a bus tour around town and get oriented. It is a beautiful city, with lots of pubs to duck into when a squall hits.
